Famous landmarks are photographed constantly, but seeing one in person is still its own experience. This collection features original photographs of recognizable places viewed through my perspective rather than simply recreated as postcard images. I look for the details that reveal scale, atmosphere, architecture, setting, and the feeling of finally standing before a place previously known through books, films, photographs, or history. Some images preserve the classic view, while others explore an unexpected angle or quieter detail nearby. Together, these photographs celebrate the difference between recognizing a landmark and personally experiencing the place around it.
